Oxford Street is getting its first permanently car-free section starting in late October 2026. Nearly one kilometer of the famous shopping street, between Selfridges and Great Portland Street, will ban all cars, buses, and bicycles. Buses will be diverted to nearby roads, while temporary seating, planters, and security posts are installed for a testing phase before permanent construction begins in 2027. The project aims to reduce heavy holiday crowds and transform the iconic area into a spacious, pedestrian-friendly plaza. *Ales Status* ⤵️ https://wa.me/447748745482?text=Hi%2C%20my%20name%20is%20 *Ales Group* ⤵️ https://chat.whatsapp.com/G3IWWQqU9rULqLRcMlrcNM?mlu=0&s=sw&p=a
