Lord Shaun Bailey has urged Mayor of London Sadiq Khan to step down at the end of his term in 2028 and move to the House of Lords. Bailey argued that London needs fresh ideas and criticized several of Khan's deputy mayors as ineffective. He suggested that Khan could serve the city better by focusing full-time on advocating for Londoners alongside him in Westminster. The call comes as recent polling shows a majority of Londoners favor a new Labour candidate for the next election. Ales Status ⤵️ Ales Group ⤵️
