On Friday morning, August 28, 2026, Londoners will get to see a partial lunar eclipse. The event starts at 3:33 AM, with the moon turning a deep "blood red" around 5:12 AM. Unlike a solar eclipse, you do not need special glasses to look at it safely. For the best view toward the southwest horizon, head to a 24-hour open spot like Parliament Hill on Hampstead Heath.
