A new free public bathroom is coming to Avenue C Plaza on McDonald Avenue between Avenue C and Church Avenue as part of Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s $4 million pilot program adding 17 modular restrooms across NYC. The city says locations were selected at public plazas and high-traffic areas where reliable bathroom access is limited. The ADA-accessible, touchless bathroom will include running water, a flushing toilet, climate control and a baby-changing station, and will be open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
