FELDER SECURES PARKING RELIEF FROM BORO PARK CONSTRUCTION PROJECT: Councilman Simcha Felder announced that the Department of Design and Construction will relocate long-term construction materials from residential streets, restoring parking spaces and reducing the project’s staging footprint by as much as 70%. The decision followed an on-site inspection with representatives from DEP, DDC, the Deputy Mayor’s office and the contractor. Felder also urged the city to consider angled parking, temporary alternate-side parking suspensions and better coordination before future construction projects begin.
