Late last night, Shmira volunteers spotted 2 males mail-fishing from USPS collection boxes using a sticky object in the 9th Avenue area. They notifying NYPD as they traveled into Sunset Park and then continued toward Park Slope, where the NYPD 78th Precinct moved in and blocked in the suspects while they were actively removing mail from another collection box. Both suspects were apprehended, their vehicle impounded, and a large amount of stolen mail was recovered from them.
