At a special gathering at the home of the Belzer Rebbe in Kiryat Belz, the Rebbe made a special request of Belzer Chassidim, particularly the women. Those who are able are asked to add one extra candle every Erev Shabbos when lighting Shabbos candles. Along with davening for their own children, they should daven for Jewish souls who have become distant from Yiddishkeit, that they merit to return and come closer to Torah and kedushah. The Rebbe expressed hope that through this special tefillah, all Yidden will come together to serve Hashem, and that we will soon merit the complete Geulah.
