UK: A 33-year-old man has been charged with three counts of assault by beating following Monday’s attacks on three Jewish women in the Clapton Common area of Stamford Hill. Abdisamad Siad, of Islington, is due to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court today. He has also been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent over a separate attack on a woman, who is believed to be known to him, in Islington last Friday. Police have described the attacks as a suspected antisemitic hate crime, although the charges announced today are for assault by beating rather than racially aggravated offences.
