Ukraine: At least 37 people have been killed and almost 400 evacuated after a Russian drone strike hit a weapons depot near a residential area on the outskirts of Kyiv. The strike caused shells, mines and drones stored at the site to detonate late on Friday, triggering a massive explosion that damaged nearby properties, including a care home for elderly and disabled people. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the weapons depot “definitely shouldn’t have been there” and that an investigation had been launched into “terrible negligence on the part of those who stored explosive right next to people”.
