US: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has told the UN General Assembly that Iran will never “bend the knee”, but said Tehran remains ready for a diplomatic solution. Responding to Donald Trump’s description of Iran as terrorists, Pezeshkian claimed: “We have been the victims of terrorism.” He accused the US and Israel of killing Iranian civilians and attacking schools and other civilian infrastructure, and said Iran’s former Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, had been assassinated “without any legal framework or reason”. The US delegation walked out of the General Assembly chamber during Pezeshkian’s speech.
