UK: John Healey has scrapped plans to reduce the annual tax-free cash ISA allowance from £20,000 to £12,000. The limit will remain at £20,000 for savers of all ages, reversing a policy announced by former Chancellor Rachel Reeves that would have affected those under 65. The government also plans to introduce a new “Starter ISA” to encourage first-time investors.
