UK: Two men have been jailed for five and a half years after admitting hacking into Transport for London's network in 2024. Thalha Jubair, 20, and Owen Flowers, 18, accessed internal systems through the dark web, costing TfL around £29m and disrupting services for months. The pair, described by prosecutors as "experienced and talented" hackers, are part of the notorious Scattered Spider gang, which was linked to last year's cyber attacks on M&S, Co-op and Jaguar Land Rover. Both pleaded guilty last month, shortly before they were due to stand trial, having initially denied the charges.
