UK: Five men have been arrested on suspicion of preparing a terrorist act and on suspicion of committing offences under the Explosives Act, near RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire, a key airbase used by US forces for strikes against Iran. Police were alerted in the early hours of Sunday to three suspicious vehicles apparently travelling towards the base. Armed officers arrested five men, while Army bomb-disposal experts examined the vehicles and around 85 nearby homes were evacuated. US President Donald Trump says the US had the five men "under view for a long time, and we got them". Police have not publicly identified a motive. Reports say that an Iranian link is considered the most likely possibility, although other possibilities are also being examined.
