UK: Reform leader Nigel Farage has demanded Andy Burnham call a general election after the new prime minister pledged sweeping changes to British politics. Burnham said he would bring forward “the biggest changes in the last 40 years”, with ending rough sleeping his first priority in office. However, he ruled out an immediate election, saying his government had the legitimacy to govern through its majority in Parliament. Asked whether he would call a vote, Burnham said: "We're in a parliamentary democracy, and as we've seen through time if somebody can command the majority of the MPs in the House of Commons obviously they then have the legitimacy to lead things forward."
