UK: Former England and Manchester United football star Wayne Rooney has revealed that he recently discovered he has Jewish ancestry through his maternal grandmother’s family. Speaking in a new documentary series, Rooney said: “I’ve recently found out that my mum’s mum, so my nan’s, family were Polish Jews.” “Technically, if that’s true, you’re actually Jewish,” a producer tells Rooney from off camera. “I’m Catholic,” Rooney replies. “But then I’ve always asked questions like why aren’t we Jewish?” Join EJN: https://wa.me/447443160130?text=Hi!%20I%20would%20like%20to%20subscribe%20to%20the%20EJN.%20My%20name%20is:%20
