Greece: An Israeli-operated cruise ship carrying more than 1,500 passengers and crew has been targeted by a bomb threat while docked at the Greek island of Syros. The Crown Iris, operated by Israeli company Mano Maritime, was preparing to sail to Haifa with 940 passengers and 597 crew members when an unknown person claimed an explosive device had been attached to the ship’s hull. Greek authorities launched a security operation involving bomb disposal personnel, a specially trained dog and divers. Initial searches found no explosives, but further inspections were planned before the ship could resume its journey.
