UK: Britain will deploy RAF Typhoon fighter jets to Saudi Arabia to help defend the country against escalating Houthi missile and drone attacks, Defence Secretary Wes Streeting has announced. The jets will help protect Saudi cities and critical infrastructure following recent attacks on Riyadh and energy sites, but will operate solely in a defensive role and will not carry out strikes against the Iran-backed Houthis. The UK will also deploy military advisers and an RAF A400M transport aircraft, while existing British air-to-air refuelling support for Saudi defensive operations has been extended by 90 days.
