US: A 35-year-old Saudi national employed by OpenAI has been arrested and charged after allegedly planting a sophisticated recording device inside one of its San Francisco offices. The company said it used its own artificial intelligence technology to investigate the device and identify the employee suspected of installing it. The case was referred to the FBI, and the employee has since been dismissed. OpenAI said there was no indication that sensitive technology, source code or customer information had been stolen. If convicted, he faces up to five years in prison, a $250,000 fine and three years of supervised release.
