UK: The BBC has reportedly agreed to pay £400,000 to award-winning Jewish documentary-maker Lucie Kon, who alleges she was subjected to antisemitism and bullied out of the broadcaster following the October 7 attacks. Kon claims colleagues described Zionists as “evil” and told her that “if you want to call Hamas terrorists then you have to call Israel terrorists, too” and that she should “think about what drove Hamas to do what they did”. She also claims she was told she was too biased as a Jew to oversee a documentary about October 7. After making a formal complaint, she says she was sidelined for months before eventually losing her job during a restructuring. According to The Telegraph, the BBC did not uphold her antisemitism complaint but later agreed to settle her unfair dismissal proceedings without admitting liability. It has refused to apologise or acknowledge that she experienced antisemitism. Join EJN: https://wa.me/447443160130?text=Hi!%20I%20would%20like%20to%20subscribe%20to%20the%20EJN.%20My%20name%20is:%20
