Middle East: Iran has launched ballistic missiles at US military positions in Jordan and says it also sent dozens of explosive drones towards US forces at Al Minhad Air Base in the United Arab Emirates, in retaliation for American strikes on Iran’s Larak Island. Jordan says its air defences intercepted eight missiles that entered its airspace, with no injuries reported. Iran claims the attacks targeted the King Hussein and Al Azraq air bases. Meanwhile, the UAE confirms its air force intercepted an Iranian drone approaching over its territorial waters but says reports that Al-Minhad Air Base was targeted were "unfounded". Earlier, US Central Command confirmed it had taken "limited, precise action" against "minelaying forces posing an imminent threat in the Strait of Hormuz".
