France: One person has been killed and four others injured, after a gunman opened fire from a car at several locations in the western suburbs of Paris. The shootings took place around Trappes, in the Yvelines district, with the suspect later arrested by police. The mayor of Trappes said the gunman appeared to be firing at random and seemed intent on carrying out a massacre, adding that shots were fired at several locations, including near a playground. He said a 12-year-old ‌girl was also among the injured. France’s national anti-terrorism prosecutor’s office is examining the incident, although authorities have not yet established a motive.
