Israel: Britain has warned Israel that it could expel Israeli diplomats from London unless it is allowed to reopen its consulate in Jerusalem, The Telegraph reports. According to the report, Wednesday’s last-minute agreement to keep the building open with just seven diplomats is merely a pause in negotiations, with Britain seeking to restore its full diplomatic presence. The Foreign Office is reportedly prepared to revive its threat to expel Israeli diplomats if ongoing talks fail to make credible progress. Substantive negotiations are not expected to resume until after Israel’s general election on 27 October.
