UK: A 76-year-old anti-immigration protester appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court wearing a full Islamic burqa after being charged with concealing his identity by wearing the garment at a demonstration last month. Timothy Miller, from Southampton, represented himself in court, arguing that he had worn the burqa for religious reasons rather than to conceal his identity. Miller reportedly told the court he was studying Islam because he believed Britain was moving towards becoming an Islamic society. He also reportedly asked why migrants are allowed to enter the UK without having their religion questioned as he was repeatedly asked about his apparent conversion to Islam. His trial has been scheduled for 16 February. Join EJN: https://wa.me/447443160130?text=Hi!%20I%20would%20like%20to%20subscribe%20to%20the%20EJN.%20My%20name%20is:%20
