UK: UK flights have been hit by another air traffic control failure, less than two weeks after the outage which caused widespread disruption across the country. The latest technical failure at NATS’ Prestwick centre affected flights across Scotland, Northern Ireland and northern England, with hundreds of flights disrupted. The fault has now been fixed, but airlines warned of knock-on delays and cancellations. EasyJet said the incident "once again calls into question the resilience" of the UK's air traffic control system, while Wizz Air said there was a "national confidence crisis" in National Air Traffic Services (Nats), which runs the UK's air traffic.
