UK: Reform UK has received a staggering £72 million after two cryptocurrency billionaires each donated £36 million to Nigel Farage’s party, the largest individual political donations in British history. Ben Delo gave £36 million on Friday, with Christopher Harborne matching the amount on Saturday. Farage said he was “honoured and humbled”, while Reform says the money will help it prepare for government and the next general election. Housing Secretary Angela Rayner has since warned that forthcoming restrictions on overseas political donations will be backdated, meaning Reform could potentially be required to return some of the money if the donations fall within the new rules.
