US: President Donald Trump has said the United States may join Saudi Arabia in carrying out military strikes against Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi rebels following Saturday’s deadly attack on Riyadh airport. Asked by reporters whether the US would participate in Saudi strikes, Trump replied: “We may. We’re going to look at it. We just found out about the recent attack, so we’ll make a decision. We move very quickly.” Meanwhile, UK Defence Secretary Wes Streeting said Britain was already supporting Saudi Arabia with air-to-air refuelling and could potentially provide further assistance. However, he said British involvement in offensive operations was “not what we’re looking at at this stage”.
