UK: Counter-terrorism police say they have disrupted a suspected terrorist plot targeting the Jewish community in Manchester following a long-running investigation. Two men in their 30s were arrested in Manchester city centre on Sunday under the Terrorism Act and remain in police custody. Deputy Assistant Commissioner Vicki Evans said police were “acutely aware” the arrests would cause further concern to the Jewish community during the High Holy Days, adding that officers are working with police forces and partners nationally to ensure appropriate protective security measures are in place. Police say they do not believe there is any ongoing threat to the public. Join EJN: https://wa.me/447443160130?text=Hi!%20I%20would%20like%20to%20subscribe%20to%20the%20EJN.%20My%20name%20is:%20
