UK: A gang feud led to the head-on crash that killed two police officers on the A66 in the early hours of Saturday morning, it has emerged. The officers died after five youths began a high-speed pursuit of a Volvo SUV at 3am in Middlesbrough, according to reports. The Volvo, believed to have been driven by a rival gang, is alleged to have rammed into a house in the Acklam suburb of Middlesbrough, which is the home of the father of Cole Worthy, 17, one of the young men who died in the collision. The five youths, who had 37 convictions between them, then drove off in a Volkswagen Passat, which later collided head-on with a police car, killing all five occupants as well as PCs Matthew Blades, 37, and Tom Clough, 38.
