UK: The family of Nicholas Brandram, the man investigated over the 2017 “Putney pusher” incident, have insisted he was not responsible and blamed the Metropolitan Police investigation for his death. Brandram, 44, was found dead at his home on Tuesday. His family said he “took his own life after months of immense pressure caused by a Metropolitan Police investigation”. They said there was “no credible evidence” that he was the jogger seen pushing a woman into the path of a bus on Putney Bridge, adding: “In fact, the evidence proved the opposite.” The family said police had repeatedly been warned about the impact of the investigation on his mental health, concluding: “As a result, Nick is dead.” Join EJN:
