Israeli security forces uncovered a concealed underground infiltration route connecting Judea and Samaria to Jerusalem, raising serious concerns about potential terrorist exploitation. The passage used existing sewer infrastructure near a-Ram, with its entrance hidden beneath a parked commercial vehicle. The route led into Jerusalem’s Beit Hanina neighborhood. During an overnight operation, Border Police and IDF forces arrested 32 suspected illegal entrants and four alleged facilitators. The discovery highlights a dangerous vulnerability in Jerusalem’s security perimeter. While no terrorist connection has been confirmed, such concealed routes could potentially be exploited to carry out attacks against Israeli civilians. All 36 suspects were taken for questioning.
