My take... If a CEO or employee can’t take a week off without things falling apart, that’s a sign something’s off with how the business is set up. A lot of companies don’t have clear agreements or expectations. So what happens? The boss ends up calling during your holiday because no one really talked about what’s okay and what’s not. Honestly, the best thing you can do is have a quick chat with your boss before you go. Figure out what’s expected.
