*Good Samaritans Fight Fire And Smash Windows After Rollover On Palmetto In Miami Lakes* A white Toyota Tundra rolled over on State Road 826 near Northwest 154th Street in Miami Lakes Saturday morning, trapping the driver as the pickup filled with smoke and caught fire. Witnesses said the truck had been speeding before the crash. Bystanders jumped in before Miami-Dade Fire Rescue arrived. One used a shirt to fight the flames. Another dumped two gallons of water on the fire. A third smashed the front window with a shovel so smoke could escape. Firefighters then cut the truck apart and pulled the driver out. He was airlifted to Ryder Trauma Center. His condition has not been released. Parts of the Palmetto were briefly blocked while crews cleared the scene. Lanes later reopened.
