*Florida Students Get New Lessons On Dangers Of Communism* Florida classrooms are rolling out expanded standards this year that teach students about the dangers of communism. Starting in sixth grade, the curriculum covers the Soviet Union, the Chinese Communist Revolution, and the regimes of Cuba, North Korea, and Venezuela. Lessons also address how socialism can lead to a communist leader rising to power. The standards stem from legislation Gov. Ron DeSantis signed in 2024.
