*Leib Backs Donalds As A “Promises Made, Promises Kept” Governor* South Florida political commentator Bryan Leib says he has known Byron Donalds for more than six years and believes the GOP nominee would govern Florida in a “Promises Made, Promises Kept” style. Leib compared that approach to President Trump keeping campaign promises and called on supporters to “keep Florida free” with Donalds in the governor’s office. Donalds won the Republican primary on August 18 and is running with State Sen. Bryan Ávila of Hialeah. They face Democrat David Jolly and Gwen Graham on November 3. Leib previously skipped a congressional run this cycle to focus on helping elect Donalds. *Florida Scoop’s Take:* The line is already circulating in GOP circles. The general election is now the test of whether that message sticks with Florida voters.
