*Donalds Says Florida Won’t Elect Nixon Or Jolly* Byron Donalds went on Jesse Watters Primetime last night and drew a hard line against both Democrats heading the November ticket. The GOP nominee for governor said Jacksonville state Rep. Angie Nixon will not win a U.S. Senate seat in Florida because people move here for common sense conservative policy, not socialism. He then turned to his own opponent, former Republican congressman David Jolly. Donalds called Jolly a Trojan horse who “bends a knee” for the Democratic Socialists of America. The comments came after Nixon told a Jacksonville crowd some Republicans agree with Donalds on policy but “just can’t make themselves vote for him,” and that Democrats planned to capitalize on that. Donalds and Jolly face off Nov. 3 to replace term-limited Gov. Ron DeSantis. Nixon faces Sen. Ashley Moody in the Senate race. *Florida Scoop’s Take:* The general election argument is already locked in. Republicans want this framed as common sense vs. socialism. Democrats want it framed as affordability and who actually shows up in November.
