While many spend the summer slowing down, Surfside Mayor Shlomo Danzinger is continuing to focus on the town's future. Danzinger joined the Town Commission and senior administrators Monday for a strategic planning retreat to review ongoing projects, set long-term priorities and discuss ways to improve municipal services, infrastructure and residents' quality of life. Vice Mayor Dayana Benmergui and Commissioners Andrea Travani, Gerardo Vildostegui and David Weingot participated in the session, which centered on planning for Surfside's continued growth and addressing the community's evolving needs. The retreat underscored Danzinger's ongoing efforts to keep Surfside moving forward through long-term planning and collaboration with fellow commissioners and town staff.
