MIAMI — Miami’s economy is booming, fueled by an influx of capital and political changes that have helped transform the city into a growing center for finance, technology and luxury real estate. The Economist, in an article published this week, describes a city experiencing a surge of high-end investment and business activity, while raising questions about whether the growth can be sustained. The transformation is particularly visible in Miami’s real estate and financial districts. A $50 million home sale illustrates the strength of the luxury-property market, while downtown office towers have attracted some of the country’s most prominent financial and technology firms. One example is 830 Brickell, a major office tower in Miami’s Brickell financial district. The building is home to Citadel, a major hedge fund, an investment firm connected to billionaire Peter Thiel’s family office and two leading law firms. The concentration of financial and technology companies in Miami reflects the city’s broader economic shift, as businesses and wealthy individuals continue to establish a larger presence in South Florida. But the rapid growth also raises a central question: Can Miami maintain its momentum as the city becomes increasingly dependent on the continued flow of capital and business investment? --- 📲 For fast & reliable hyper-local Jewish Florida news: 🗞️ JOIN The Florida Scoop on WhatsApp: https://api.whatsapp.com/send?phone=17868092003&text=Subscribe
