Florida Power & Light is scheduled to begin underground utility construction in Surfside next week, with work expected to continue through November, town officials said. The project will take place along 93rd Street between Harding and Collins avenues, near 9317 Collins Ave., beginning Monday. Residents can expect temporary lane closures, traffic detours, construction noise and daytime vibrations during trenching operations. Town officials said vibration levels will be monitored and kept below Surfside's stricter local standard. Construction is scheduled for weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., although some overnight work may be approved. The town said residents will receive advance notice of any nighttime construction, and a town representative will oversee overnight operations. --- 📲 For fast & reliable hyper-local Jewish Florida news: 🗞️ JOIN The Florida Scoop on WhatsApp: https://api.whatsapp.com/send?phone=17868092003&text=Subscribe
