A South Florida couple has filed what appears to be the first lawsuit against Publix tied to an E. coli outbreak linked to recalled frozen blueberries, alleging the contaminated fruit caused serious illnesses that left one of them hospitalized for weeks. According to the lawsuit, Roberta Cash, 88, and Oscar Cash, 89, purchased GreenWise Organic Whole Blueberries in May from a Publix store in Jupiter Farms. The complaint alleges the blueberries were contaminated with E. coli and that Publix failed to provide adequate warnings about the product's dangers. The lawsuit says Roberta Cash developed severe symptoms, including bloody diarrhea, abdominal pain, dehydration and fever. She was hospitalized for 10 days before spending another 18 days in a rehabilitation facility. --- 📲 For fast & reliable hyper-local Jewish Florida news: 🗞️ JOIN The Florida Scoop on WhatsApp: https://api.whatsapp.com/send?phone=17868092003&text=Subscribe
