*BYRON DONALDS DOUBLES DOWN ON SKIPPING GOP PRIMARY DEBATES IN FLORIDA GOVERNOR RACE* Byron Donalds is standing firm on his decision not to debate his Republican primary opponents for Florida governor. The congressman dismissed the challengers as stuck in single digits while he leads polls at roughly 50 percent and has raised over $90 million. Donalds called a recent confrontation by a rival at one of his campaign events "another stunt" from candidates seeking attention instead of voter support. Antisemitic Candidate James Fishback pushed back hard, comparing Donalds' debate avoidance to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, and said Florida voters deserve to see the candidates face off. The race continues to heat up across the state.
