*Florida GOP Holds 11-Point Registration Edge As State Continues Growing* Republicans now lead Democrats by more than 1.5 million registered voters in Florida. Latest state figures show about 5.61 million Republicans compared to 4.07 million Democrats. That is roughly an 11-point advantage in party registration. The gap has widened steadily since Republicans first overtook Democrats in 2021. Florida continues adding population at a rapid pace, and most of the net growth in voter rolls has favored the GOP. With the U.S. Senate race and other major contests on the ballot this fall, the registration numbers underscore how difficult the map has become for Democrats in the Sunshine State.
