*Palm Beach County Clerk Michael Caruso Arrested On Child Sex Abuse Charges* Palm Beach County Clerk of Court and Comptroller Michael Caruso was arrested Tuesday morning on multiple felony charges related to the sexual abuse of a child younger than 12. The 67-year-old faces five counts, including kidnapping, lewd or lascivious molestation, and child abuse. Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier announced the arrest, which involved assistance from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and local agencies. Gov. Ron DeSantis immediately suspended Caruso from office. An interim clerk has already been sworn in. The case remains under investigation.
