*Senator Moody Says Angie Nixon Wants America To Look Like Cuba* Sen. Ashley Moody is accusing her Democratic opponent of pushing policies that would make the United States resemble Cuba. In a video posted Tuesday from a Republican Party of Florida rally, Moody told the crowd that Angie Nixon “wants the United States of America to look like Cuba.” Nixon, the Jacksonville state representative and Democratic Socialists of America member who won last week’s primary, has called the U.S. embargo a failure and supports restoring Obama-era engagement with the island. She has also said she rejects communism and authoritarianism. The two candidates face off in November for the Senate seat previously held by Marco Rubio.
