SURFSIDE: WATER MAIN REPAIR: ABBOTT AVENUE Public Works will continue the permanent repair to the water main at 9:30 a.m. today. Residents on Abbott Avenue between 90th and 92nd streets will experience a temporary water service interruption from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. while the repair is completed. Residents in the nearby areas should you notice brown or discolored water, avoid drinking or cooking with the water until it runs clear. Residents should run their cold-water faucets for several minutes until the water is clear before resuming normal use. Residents are also encouraged to avoid the work area, use caution around construction equipment and follow any posted signs or directions from crews.
