Palm Beach County Fire Rescue is using a new cardiac arrest protocol that puts a traditionally later-stage defibrillation technique into the hands of first responders much earlier, a change department leaders say could improve survival for some of the sickest cardiac arrest patients. New Palm Beach County Fire Rescue cardiac protocol uses dual defibrillators to save lives. CBS12's Paige Meyer shares Ken Beck's story of survival. The technique is called double sequential defibrillation.
