Miami Beach has launched a need-based parking discount program for employees of local businesses, offering reduced monthly rates at three city-owned garages to help ease commuting costs for eligible workers. Applications for the Employee Value Parking Program opened Wednesday and will be accepted through Aug. 19. The program provides about 150 parking spaces for $100 per month, a 25% discount from the standard monthly rate of $132 plus tax. The program is open to employees who work in Miami Beach and rely on regular access to parking. Applicants must apply directly to the city. Selection will be based on a first-come, first-served process as well as factors including income, proximity to a participating garage, space availability and equitable distribution among local businesses.
