Berkshire Hathaway has erased the stock-market losses that followed Warren Buffett's announcement that he would step down as CEO, CNBC reported Saturday. Its shares reached record closing highs during the week before slipping about 1% Friday. The recovery comes as investors move away from expensive AI stocks toward Berkshire's businesses and enormous cash reserves, now more than $350 billion. Shares had fallen nearly 15% by August 2025 amid fears that the company would lose its "Buffett premium," but have since rallied 18%. Investors appear more comfortable with successor Greg Abel.
