*New Text System Launches for Rides Between Staten Island and Boro Park* A new system called SI Chap a Ride is now connecting riders and drivers traveling between Staten Island and Boro Park or Williamsburg, in both directions. The service comes a few months after the GroupMe ride group shut down. Riders text where and when they are going along with their pickup address, for example “BP to SI 3pm, 4500 13th Ave, Friedman,” or text MENU for all options. Drivers text “Driving” or “Driving SI to BP” and receive a list of riders waiting. Those without texting can call the same number and follow the voice menu. The number to text or call is (929) 661-9154, and comments or questions can be sent to SIChaparide@gmail.com. *_Join the Island Media WhatsApp Status_* https://wa.me/19297271071?text=Subscribe *_Join the Island News and Updates group_* https://chat.whatsapp.com/Bi5MGP3Nx1qJUoVkKmYW5j
