*Child Care Vouchers: Relief Ahead for Families on Waitlist* Mayor Mamdani announced yesterday that the city will begin processing waitlisted families for child care vouchers, aiming to provide free care for more than 10,000 children. Starting over the next few weeks, ACS will invite families to submit updated applications. Those who meet the requirements will receive vouchers, with invitations continuing over several months. The expansion includes eligible Staten Island families. For families considering a move from Boro Park, Staten Island offers the option of leaving Brooklyn while remaining within NYC’s child care voucher program. The program serves children ages 6 weeks through 13, and through age 19 for children with special needs. Families can find licensed providers that accept vouchers at "nyc.gov/childcare" (https://nyc.gov/childcare). *_Join the Island Media WhatsApp Status_* https://wa.me/19297271071?text=Subscribe *_Join the Island News and Updates group_* https://chat.whatsapp.com/Bi5MGP3
