*Wildlife Safety: Rabies Prevention Effort Coming to Staten Island* Staten Island will be included in the city’s next round of wildlife rabies vaccinations later this fall, after being left out of the spring round. As of Tuesday, the borough accounted for 12 of NYC’s 27 confirmed animal rabies cases this year, the most of any borough. Fish-scented bait packets containing an oral vaccine will be placed in parks and green spaces for raccoons to eat, helping reduce the spread of rabies among wildlife. *_Join the Island Media WhatsApp Status_* https://wa.me/19297271071?text=Subscribe *_Join the Island News and Updates group_* https://chat.whatsapp.com/Bi5MGP3Nx1qJUoVkKmYW5j
